Sculptra Pre & Post Care Instructions

PRE TREATMENT:
• Please arrive makeup free if possible.
• Please refrain from any blood thinning medications (if approved by your physician or ordering provider) and alcohol consumption 48 hours prior.
• Please consult with your physician if you are on any blood thinning medications daily prior to treatment.
• Have no immunizations or vaccinations 4 weeks prior or after.
• Have no dental work 2 weeks prior or after.
• Let us know if you have any history of cold sores so we can prophylactically treat you with an anti-viral.

POST TREATMENT:
MASSAGE
• Massaging the area treated is imperative for the next 5 days after treatment.

Benefits of Massaging:
• Even Distribution: Helps to evenly distribute the Sculptra in the treated areas, promoting a natural look.
• Minimize Nodules: Massaging can help reduce the risk of collagen pearls, ensuring smoother results.
• Enhance Collagen Stimulation: Gentle pressure encourages blood flow and enhances collagen production, leading to improved texture and volume over time.

How to Massage:
• Massage the treated areas 5 times a day in an upward fashion up to your scalp and ears using your favorite serum (we recommend ZO Growth Factor Serum or DEJ Boosting Serum).
• Spend 5 minutes on each massage session.
• Continue this routine for 5 days following your treatment.

5 times a day – for 5 minutes – for 5 days

FOR 48 HOURS DO NOT:
• Wear makeup in the treated areas.
• Exercise.
• Use a sauna.

FOR 1 MONTH DO NOT:
• Receive any vaccinations or immunizations.

FOR TWO WEEKS DO NOT HAVE:
• Dental work.
