Is Laser Hair Removal Right for You?
The laser targets pigment in the hair, so the best results come from darker hair. Very light blonde, gray, white, and red hair don't usually respond well, because there isn't enough pigment for the laser to find.
Your skin tone matters too, since the laser settings need to be safe for your skin. At your first visit we'll look at your hair and skin together and tell you honestly what results to expect before you start a package.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Come in with the area freshly shaved and your skin clean, without lotion or deodorant on it. Your provider will go over your skin and hair, adjust the laser settings for you, and give you protective eyewear.
The laser moves across the area in quick pulses. Small areas like the upper lip take just a few minutes, while full legs take longer. Afterward the skin may look a little pink, like a mild sunburn, which usually fades within a few hours. You can go right back to your day.
Treated hairs shed over the next one to three weeks. You'll come back in about 4 to 8 weeks to catch the next round of growth.
