How Does a Chemical Peel Work?
Your provider cleanses your skin and applies a customized peel solution. It loosens the bonds between dead and damaged skin cells so they can shed, which kick-starts your skin's natural renewal and encourages healthy new cell growth.
Depending on the peel, you may see light flaking for a few days or a week of peeling. As that old layer sheds, the skin underneath looks smoother, brighter, and more even. Because your skin keeps renewing, results build with each treatment in a series.

Most clients feel mild warmth, tingling, or stinging while the peel is on, and it's usually very manageable. Your provider will check in with you the whole time and keep you comfortable.
How much downtime is there after a chemical peel?
It depends on the peel. The Go and Glow Facial and DEJ BioStim have little to no downtime. After a VI Peel, expect light peeling for several days to about a week.
How many peels will I need?
