Morpheus8 Pre & Post Care Instructions With Your Alastin Skincare
PRE TREATMENT:
Please refrain from any chemical exfoliators (glycolic acid, salicylic acid, retinols, retinoids) a few days prior to treatment.
No fillers one month before your appointment, and at least two weeks after (or until you have completely healed - provider dependent) on the treated area.
Cannot have Botox done within the last two week prior to your treatment, in the same area.
Please do not have any artificial tanners on the skin.
Please refrain from any blood thinning medications (if approved by your physician or ordering provider) and alcohol consumption 48 hours prior.
Let us know if you have any history of cold sores so we can prophylactically treat you with an anti-viral (valtrex).
POST TREATMENT:
FOR 72 HOURS AFTER TREATMENT PLEASE REFRAIN FROM:
• Exercise or any sweat inducing activities (hot showers/saunas).
• Makeup in the treated area(s).
IMMEDIATELY AFTER - DAY 1
• Mild to moderate redness is expected and slight swelling is expected. (Redness intensity and longevity varies from person to person!)
• Your skin will have a heat sensation that is similar to a sunburn for about 1-2 hours. This is a normal and expected response.
• Please keep the skin protected by wearing a hat when outdoors. Avoid peak sun hours (10am–2pm). Please refrain from prolonged sun exposure and try to stay indoors the rest of the day.
THE NIGHT OF TREATMENT - DAY 1
• It is recommended to take a Benadryl (or any antihistamine) prior to bed.
• Sleep with a clean pillow case.
THE MORNING AFTER - DAY 2 - DAY 7
• Gently wash your face with Alastin Ultra Calm Cleansing Cream. Do not scrub.
• Apply Alastin Skin Nectar, followed by Alastin Ultra Light Moisturizer.
• Apply Alastin SilkShield SPF liberally. Not wearing SPF especially during the healing process could cause adverse hyper/hypopigmentation and scarring.
• You may take an anti-histamine for up to 5 days after treatment (e.g. Benadryl, Claritin, Zyrtec to minimize any potential swelling and itchiness you may feel during the healing process.
• Do not pick/rub or scrub at the skin.
ONCE FULLY HEALED FROM YOUR TREATMENT WE RECOMMEND
• Using an anti-aging serum to work synergistically with your treatment. The ZO Growth Factor Serum and ZO Firming Serum are highly recommended.
• Using an SPF liberally (two pumps) with a minimum of 30 every day, especially when driving. It’s important to protect your investment. We highly recommend Alastin Hydratint or Revision Intellishade SPF’s.
• If your provider recommends additional treatments, please book your next session 4-6 weeks apart from eachother. Happy healing!
