Moxi PRE & POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS WITH YOUR ALASTIN PROCEDURE KIT

PRE TREATMENT:

  • Please refrain from any chemical exfoliators (glycolic acid, salicylic acid, retinols, retinoids) a few days prior to treatment.

  • Please refrain from any blood thinning medications (like aspirin) and alcohol consumption 48 hours prior.

  • Slight swelling can occur due to your bodies histamine response. You may choose to take an anti-histamine (Claritin, Zyrtec) an hour prior to treatment to minimize potential swelling.

FOR 72 HOURS AFTER TREATMENT PLEASE REFRAIN FROM:

  • Exercise or any sweat inducing activities.

  • Hot showers.

  • Saunas.

POST TREATMENT:

IMMEDIATELY AFTER:

  • Your skin will have a warm sensation that is similar to a sunburn for about 1-2 hours. This is a normal and expected response.

  • Mild to moderate redness is expected.

  • You may use an ice pack on the skin and off for a few minutes at a time as using ice too frequently could cause adverse swelling.

1–2 HOURS AFTER

  • Once your heat has subsided please apply Alastin Skin Nectar followed by Alastin Ultra Light Moisturizer that is included in your post procedure kit.

  • Please keep the skin protected by wearing a hat when outdoors. Please refrain from prolonged sun exposure and try to stay indoors the day of treatment.

THE NIGHT OF TREATMENT:

  • It is recommended to take a Benadryl prior to bed to minimize swelling that may occur overnight.

  • If you are prone to swelling – you may wish to sleep with your head propped up slightly to also minimize swelling.

THE MORNING AFTER:

  • Gently wash your face with Alastin Ultra Calm Cleansing Cream and lukewarm water. Do not scrub.

  • Apply Alastin Skin Nectar, Ultra Light Moisturizer and SilkShield Sunscreen. Not wearing SPF especially during the healing process could cause adverse hyper/hypopigmentation and scarring.

  • Please refrain from makeup for at least 24 hours. 48 hours is preferred.

FOR ONE WEEK AFTER:

  • Gently wash your face with Alastin Ultra Calm Cleansing Cream and lukewarm water. Do not scrub.

  • Apply Alastin Skin Nectar, Ultra Light Moisturizer and SilkShield Sunscreen.

  • Be gentle to all treated areas. Do not scratch/pick/scrub at the skin.

  • Avoid chemical and physical exfoliators.

  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure.

  • Reapply SPF every 2 hours.
