Morpheus8 Pre & Post Care Instructions With Your Alastin Skincare
Pre Treatment:
Please refrain from any chemical exfoliators (glycolic acid, salicylic acid, retinols, retinoids) a few days prior to treatment.
Please do not have any active tan or artificial tanners on the skin. Skin that has either of these is untreatable for 2-4 weeks.
Please refrain from any blood thinning medications (like asprin) and alcohol consumption 48 hours prior.
Slight swelling can occur due to your body’s histamine response. You may choose to take an anti-histamine (Claritin, Zyrtec) an hour prior to treatment to minimize potential swelling.
Let us know if you have any history of cold sores so we can prophylactically treat you with an anti-viral.
Post Treatment
Immediately After:
Mild to moderate redness is expected and may last 1-3 hours.
Please keep the skin protected from the sun as much as you can.
Please refrain from prolonged sun exposure and try to stay indoors.
Stay hydrated.
The Night of Treatment
Take an anti-histamine at bed time for 5 days Benadryl, Claritin, Zyrtec to minimize any potential swelling and itchiness you may feel during the healing process.
Wash very gently with Ultra Calm Cleansing Cream and lukewarm water. Do not scrub.
Apply Skin Nectar followed by Ultra Light Moisturizer. Follow with a generous amount of your SPF included in your post procedure kit.
Be gentle to all treated areas. Do not scratch/pick/scrub at the skin.
Sleep with a clean pillow case. Change it every 2-3 days.
The Morning After - 7 Days After
Take an anti-histamine at bed time for 5 days Benadryl, Claritin, Zyrtec to minimize any potential swelling and itchiness you may feel during the healing process.
Gently wash your face with recommended face wash and lukewarm water (AM & PM). Do not scrub.
Apply Revision CMT Post Procedure Cream, followed by moisturizer (AM & PM) and recommended SPF.
Be gentle to all treated areas. Do not scratch/pick/scrub at the skin.
Change your pillow case every 2-3 days.
For 72 Hours Please Refrain From:
Exercise or any sweat inducing activities.
Hot showers.
Saunas.
Makeup in the treated area(s)
For 1 Week Please:
Be gentle to all treated areas. Do not scratch/pick/scrub at the skin.
Avoid chemical and physical exfoliators.
Avoid Prolonged sun exposure.
Reapply SPF every 2 hours.
